Pracę
nad cyklem artysta rozpoczął w 2008 roku. Powstałych zdjęć nie
traktuje jako dokumentacji aktów wandalizmu. Wyszukując i
fotografując kolejne napisy, zastanawiał się jakie wewnętrzne
powody popychają człowieka do wyjścia na miasto z pędzlem i
puszką farby. Kto i dlaczego napisał "Weekend, 3 tys. pijanych
kierowców"? Prawdopodobne jest, że chwilę wcześniej usłyszał
taką informację w wiadomościach TV. Zrobił to ze złości czy z
poczucia misji? Dał wyraz własnej frustracji czy wypełnił swoje
posłannictwo? Kim są bohaterowie cyklu? Wariatami czy zwykłymi
ludźmi z takimi samymi problemami jak wszyscy? Coś ich pod ten mur
przywiodło... Może do muru czuli się przyparci...
The
artist began work
on this series in 2008. He does not treat the resulting photographs
as the documentation of acts of vandalism. In hunting down and
photographing the various inscriptions, he pondered the inner
compulsion that drives a person to go out into the city with a brush
and can of paint. Who wrote "Weekend, 3.000 drunken drivers",
and why? He had probably just gained this information from the TV
news. Did he do this out if spite, or with the sense of having a
mission? Was he expressing his frustration or fulfilling his calling?
Who are the protagonists of this series? Madmen, or ordinary people
with the same problems we all have? Something brought them to that
wall... Maybe they felt pressed up against it...
